As the time
of my departure to South Africa on March 26th draws near, my spirit is filled with excitement and expectancy. I
honestly feel that this trip is going to be very different from any that I have ever taken before, not only will Dr.Walkes
and I be blessed, but so will all those who bless us with their gracious hospitality and every one else along the way, as
our steps are ordered by the Lord.

|
| Dr. Desmar Walkes and Rev. Joan Wakeford |
I had certain
plans in my mind, about this trip, but I have the feeling that God will be saying, “So much for that, Joan,” and
all kinds of doors, that I have absolutely no idea exist, will be opened and we will meet people that God is preparing to
be part of the Divine Plan. Our ways are not God’s ways and He is going to prove it to us in no uncertain manner. All
I hear myself saying is, “Get ready Joan, place yourself in a position to receive”. I know that Dr Walkes is also
preparing herself, in every way possible. We believe God is going to use her hands to heal, in answer to her prayers and the
longing of her heart. So please PRAY FOR US. THIS IS CRUCIAL.
I will be in Cape
Town before Dr.Walkes, as I will spend a couple of days with Nico and Coby, before going to Grahamstown to be with Ann Curnow
and her mother. Grahamstown is the City of Churches and also where Rhodes University is located. There are thousands of students
in the City and for some reason God led Annie to this place. The big question is, “WHY”? I am so looking forward
to being with her and sharing what God has put on our hearts for one another.

Then I will return
to Sommerset West to spend a couple of days with Elna and Mercia, before Dr.Walkes arrives on the 5th April. It
will be the first time I will be in my friend’s home, since it was renovated and I am very excited about spending time
with them. They are very special and have taken care of me for many years. They were the ones who put binoculars around Sharon’s
and my neck, placed a bird book in our hands and sat us down in their beautiful garden to watch birds. We soon became addicted
to the sport.
At some point we
will probably go on to Durban, where my beloved friend Linda Combrinck will help us in anyway possible. There will not
be much time there, because, before we know it, Dr.Walkes will have to get back to Cape Town to get her flight home. She leaves
Cape Town on the l3th April, on a very late flight. There are plans in the making for Durban, with regards to her discovering
more about the Healing Plant for HIV. Also, her desire is to return to South Africa with her husband.

They are aware
that there are many, who are ill and in pain, who cannot get to the hospitals and they would love to offer their services
anywhere it is needed. She also has a friend who digs wells for water in very dry areas and gives the people large rabbits
to breed, to feed the hungry. We wonder if he might be one of those God is calling to minister to the South African people.
After Dr. Walkes
departure, I will be visiting with all my dear friends in Durban and hopefully will make it up to Johannesburg and Pretoria,
this time. On my way back to Cape Town, I plan on stopping in East London, to visit with my brother, Charles and his wife,
Laura and their daughter, Meryl.
It feels as if I
have given you much to think about and especially to include in your prayers. As I have said before, without you I would never
be doing any of this. Your prayers and love offerings have kept Joan Wakeford Ministries afloat and Praising God all over
the place. I thank God for you every day.
God bless you
my beloved friends and Prayer Angels, the next time you hear from me will be from South Africa. I love you, Joan
