To my beloved family, friends, Prayer Angels, and faithful supporters:
It is with joy I greet you in the precious name of Jesus. We have had some very sad experiences recently
and on the flip side of the coin we have had glorious victories. Please join me in prayer
for the family of my beloved friend Mercia, in South Africa, who has lost her mother in a freak accident. It was only a few
months ago that they lost Mercia's precious sister, Yvonne, to cancer. So you can see there is a lot of grieving facing this
dear family and I know your prayers will make a great difference.

Please join me in prayer for the family of my beloved friend Mercia, in South Africa, who has lost her
mother in a freak accident. It was only a few months ago that they lost Mercia's precious sister, Yvonne, to cancer. So you
can see there is a lot of grieving facing this dear family and I know your prayers will make a great difference. I have also just received the news of the passing of Wanda, a very special friend in Corpus Christi. She drove
a cab throughout the city for years, even when some of us wondered if she could really see, she was suffering so with multiple
problems. I remember enjoying the hospitality of Wanda and Suzanne, when I was interim pastor at the MCC Church in Corpus
Christi. The whole experience has left me with rich memories and my heart goes out to Suzanne and the family at this time.
You are in our prayers and thoughts.
On the praise side, after being admitted to hospital with
congestive heart failure and serious problems with her heart and kidneys, our very special Pastor Linda Harris, in Fort Worth,
has returned home, praising God for her healing. I have never met anyone so determined to serve the Lord. Go girl, GO. My
heart rejoices to see such dedication and love for the Lord. Our prayers for Brenda may have been successful too. She had a very positive interview yesterday and was
really uplifted when I spoke to her today. If this is God's will for her, He will open the door. Brenda is one of our staunches
prayer angels. If a sudden prayer request comes through I know to call her immediately and I can rely on her to pray night
and day.
We had a desperate prayer request for
Oscar, from our dear friend Rev. Rada Schaff in Tucson. He was rushed to hospital with a stroke. His sister Dora was most
concerned that he could lose his life during this serious physical setback. Today she wrote that he is gradually healing and
says, "He is ALIVE". We serve an awesome God who loves us, heals us and sets our feet on the right path for our lives and so often
performs miracles when we least expect it. How can we help but praise Him?
I especially covet your prayers, for me as
I return to Rowlett, Dallas, on the 11th of June, to meet with my publisher, editor, cover artist, typists and proof readers.
This is an extremely important meeting and will result in our going through the manuscript to decide what should remain and
what should be removed as irrelevant, plus many other deciding factors. Pray for me to have the mind of the Lord and His wisdom
and for the team to be surrendered to God's leading in these important issues. I am especially praying that this book will
be an inspiration to young people, giving them the courage to step out for God in the greatest adventure of their lives and
do exploits for God. My greatest prayer is that I will have the strength to take the book to churches throughout the States
and personally meet those who want to see miracles happen in their lives.
In closing please remember to pray for South Africa from
June 11th during the World Cup Soccer Games. PLEASE pray that the spectators and fans will not cause riots and that the whole
experience will be a blessing to many and especially that South Africa will prosper throughout the event.
God Bless you and thank you for your love, prayers and support. I love you, Joan
