"Praise God for a successful World Cup in South Africa. I have heard that it brought a new sense of togetherness to all the Races who participated and watched from the stands or on TV.

Thank you Jesus

Message from Joan

Dear Ones in Christ:
Bill and I were thrilled to be able to visit with Pastor Eric Hull and his beloved congregation at The Gathering Place a couple of Sundays ago. The welcome was so warm and sincere and there was an extraordinary anointing felt among us all, as I was able to minister. Since then I have received some wonderful answers to their prayers and I give God all the Glory.

I want to share a couple of interesting items of news with you. Firstly, I enclose a clipping from E.M.I. telling about the amazing work their missionaries, Linda and Carolyn, are doing in South Africa. What makes it doubly exciting to me is that my dear friend Linda Combrinck, from Durban, South Africa, is putting her house up for sale and is going to leave Durban for Johannesburg, to join them in their incredible work for God. Please pray for Linda as she prepares to follow God in this calling. Pray for perfect health, lots of strength and an abundant anointing on their ministries, as they labor in this great effort for the Lord. GOD BLESS THEM GREATLY AND MEET THEIR EVERY NEED.

Then, there is the ALL NATIONS GATHERING. I have been blessed beyond measure any time I have attended these Conferences in Long Beach. If there is any way you can find the time to go to Long Beach, do. You will be blessed and more than likely have a LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE.

Pam, my publisher, has set September as the deadline for the publishing of my book. Please keep her, Christine, John, and Kayla in your prayers. They are doing a fabulous job and I can't thank God enough for bringing them into my life. I will probably be in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at that time. I want to be at the right place at the right time and I know God is behind scenes setting up my schedule.

Now I need the strength to do all that needs to be done. This is such a new experience for me and to be honest, just knowing that you are all praying for me, will see me through it all.
This is not a long letter, as there are a great many prayer requests I want to share with you. God bless you and again, as always, THANK YOU for your loving support and prayers.

I love you,
Joan

Rainbow House: From Dream to Reality in South Africa

Through education and training the backbone of poverty can be broken over the people of South Africa. This is the reason why Carolyn Bocian and Linda Barnes left the comforts of home and their routine lives in America to live and work amongst the people near Johannesburg. Founding the Rainbow House and
Training Center (RHTC), they have been able to minister to the needs of young people, who are eager to learn and willing to do what it takes to achieve a better life.

Each Saturday a group of about 30 children travel by foot, sometimes a great distance, for an opportunity to learn what they cannot achieve in public school. Because of overcrowded and poorly equipped classrooms, the children are especially grateful to have the use of their first textbooks and an opportunity to receive one-on-one tutoring in math and English.
